Union Pacific 4023

On a hill up in Omaha, Nebraska is a remnant on an old era, the era of steam locomotives. This particular engine is a Union Pacific Big Boy, one of only 25 ever produced for their namesake company. Only 8 of these amazing machines still exist in the world and 7 of those are on display. I am looking forward to seeing when the Union Pacific Railroad gets the 4014 restored to operating condition so we can see these incredible machines barrel down the tracks once more. Until then the 4023 will continue to sit on its hill as a reminder of that time long gone.
